A bit about me
With over a decade of experience in publishing, marketing, and non-profit design, I now lead the web design team at openbox9, a design agency in heart of Washington, DC.
Background
After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design and Photography from Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL), I began my career at a publishing company, working primarily in layout design. Next I transitioned to a marketing startup, where I learned the ins and outs of print processes and data-segmentation. After a move to DC, I joined a small but intrepid design studio focused on serving non-profits. From brochures and branding, to logos and email campaigns, to web design and front-end development, I’ve had my hands in many pies, and learned a great deal along the way. Currently I serve as UX Director and oversee our design to development processes.
Growing up I spent much of my life overseas, and these experiences have given me a love of travel, a broad worldview, and a curiosity for new things. When not in front of a screen, I enjoy sports and music, bike rides and good conversations, gardening with my wife, and being a girl Dad to two spunky daughters.
